The Gravity stool is invented by the Dutch Artist Jólan van der Wiel, who uses it to craft interior design and furniture with unique tactility and shapes.

The ingredients list is simple: two-component plastic, a magnetic field and the power of gravity. The point of departure is the idea that everything is influenced by gravitation, a force that has a strongly shaping effect, and Jólan intended to manipulate this natural phenomenon by exploiting its own power: magnetism.

While the shape of the magnetic material is held in a statically still position, it is coated in liquid plastic that solidifies before the magnetic field is repealed, and voila! A unique design crafted by man and nature.
