Fabric's classy club night, 'The Nothing Special', gets its own label courtesy of the legendary club's discerning selector, Craig Richards.
Craig Richards has been taking care of the legendary decks at Fabric for well over a decade, carefully curating the music profile of the legendary London club. Most recently, he invited a number of live acts ranging from Moritz Von Oswald and The Emperor Machine to Robert Hood to the club as part of the 'The Nothing Special' series, where Richards' primary job was to set the stage for the musical treat of the night.
Now, the series is stepping out of Fabric's darkness and entering the world of wax as RadioNasty prepare the label's inaugural release. Billy Nasty and Keith Tenniswood have assembled 'Radio,' a bopping tech house two-tracker where the A-side, Radio 1, mixes futuristic house grooves with a few drops of acid while the flip goes both darker and dirtier.
As if that wasn't enough, Richards is also planning on bringing 'The Nothing Special' to the radio airwaves for a weekly radio show within the foreseeable future. In case you haven't already noticed, it looks like Richards' name will be hard to avoid, even if you're too far away from London to be able to regularly flash your fabricfirst card. Pick up 'Radio' when it hits the record shelves this week and prepare yourself for an onslaught of Richards' unparalleled musical expertise.
And check out this RadioNasty podcast for a taster of what's in store from the duo.
